Holocaust awareness is usually associated with Ashkenazi Jews. This event will discuss the little-known fact that the Shoah also devastated Sefardic Jewry, descendants of Iberian Jews who survived massacres, forced conversions, expulsion, and Inquisition.
JHA is a nonprofit global organization dedicated to researching, preserving, and promoting the legacy of Sefarad.
Dr. Isaac Amon, JHA Director of Academic Research, earned a J.D., LL.M, PhD from Washington University in St. Louis. He worked at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague and investigated ISIS.
About the Presenter, Dr. Isaac Amon
Dr. Amon, JHA Director of Academic Research, earned a J.D., LL.M, and PhD in Law from Washington University’s School of Law in St. Louis. A descendant of Jews who fled Spain for the Ottoman Empire in 1492, he worked at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague and as an ISIS war crimes investigator.
