Add a Story to Sephardi Spaces
Option 1: Add a Character Directly (Recommended)
Become a free member of Sephardi Spaces and create your entry directly on the platform.
- Create a free account
- Add your character or family story
- Follow the instructions on the form
- Submit your contribution
💡 Note: This is the fastest and most flexible option, especially if you would like to continue editing or expanding the story later.

Option 2: Upload a Spreadsheet
For larger projects, multiple characters, or detailed migration histories, you may use our spreadsheet template.

2. Fill In the locations, chapters, and descriptions
Chapters Information
Chapter: Write a clear label like → “Birthplace – City”, “Education – City”, “Career – City”, “Migration – City”, “Later Life – City”
Description: Start with 1 – 5 sentences explaining why this place matters and what your character(s) did there.
(If possible, add bullet points with key facts)
Location: Format → City, Country
Longitude/Latitude: Paste decimal coordinates (use Google Maps if needed)
3. Optional: Add photo/Video media links
4. Email us the final spreadsheet shaicohen@miami.edu

Option 3: Participate Through an Interview
Prefer speaking rather than writing?
- You are welcome to schedule an interview with one of our students or researchers.
2. During the conversation, we will help document your family history, migration story, memories, photographs, and important locations connected to your experience.
3. After the interview, our team will organize the material and create the map entry for you.

Already Have Research Material?
If you already have a study, biography, article, family archive, unpublished manuscript, or other research material related to the person you wish to add, simply send us the file and we will take care of the rest.
